S.A.R. Composite Shop has assembled a
comprehensive Quality Assurance program that insures
customer requirements are met. Once the customer's part has
been developed, The Composite Shop implements ISO 9001 level
processes that will produce a part consistently and to their
quality expectation. S.A.R. Composite Shop does not
"inspect" quality into their parts, but has implemented
in-process controls and process improvements that keep the
parts on track through the complete manufacturing cycle.
Some of these ISO 9001 level processes include operator
certification, precise process instructions, corrective
action process, statistical process control, metrology
(proper calibration of equipment), document control, and
preventative maintenance.

S.A.R. Composite Shop engineering &
manufacturing group has been producing volume production
products since 1992. Rather than "inspect quality into
part," we engineer quality into the product. Statistical
process control (SPC) points are strategically placed at
various points in our fabrication processes. These SPC
points monitor the "health" of our fabrication processes,
identifying potential out of spec parts before they are
completely fabricated. Our goal continues to be to produce
high quality, tight tolerance products at an affordable
price.
Using our filament winding fabrication
process we have consistently maintained the specifications,
shown below in the Fabrication Specification Table on our 4 inch square
carbon/epoxy tubes.
Resin transfer molding (RTM) fabrication
offers even tighter dimensional tolerances on the products
we manufacturer.
Testing is important in our production of
high quality products. We utilize a variety of testing
options.

structures using the Filament Winding, resin transfer
molding and hand lay-up processes. The table below show
